Our House recognizes that developing and providing support for youth experiencing foster care takes many voices, collaboration and thoughtful discussion. We are committed to hearing and learning from those we serve and are proud to announce our first Youth Advisory Board members.

The Youth Advisory Board participates in an advisory role, working both independently and along with the Board of Directors, to provide the insight and input essential to accomplishing our goals. They will also serve as an overall ambassador of the Our House mission.

Our Youth Advisory Board gives members an opportunity to contribute and grow, researching and identifying needs and interests in the foster care community as they relate to Our House programming and offerings. As they engage with their peers and the Our House Board of Directors, they’ll also have the opportunity to learn how to work collaboratively with others who may offer differing perspectives and backgrounds, and develop strong traits of leadership and professionalism.
