Youth Programs
Our House provides comprehensive support for foster youth transitioning to adulthood through mentorship, housing assistance, life skills training, wellness resources, and leadership opportunities. Mentoring is at the core of our programs, ensuring you have the guidance and resources needed for independence.

The Nest is Our House’s Independent Living Plus (ILP+) program for youth ages 16–19 who have an active MDHHS Foster Care case and are pregnant or within six months postpartum with custody of their baby. Residents are expected to maintain 40 hours of productivity each week through work, school, training, or similar activities as well as participate in Our House’s Mentoring Program, skill-building, and community events.
Supports provided include a private furnished room, safe shared living spaces, daily on-site staff to assist with household, self-care, and family management skills, individual case management meetings to support budgets and Personal Development Plans, a 24-hour on-call Nurse Practitioner, birth planning and postnatal support, and monthly respite for new parents.
The program focuses on helping youth build independence, confidence, and parenting skills while offering guidance, resources, and encouragement to navigate daily life and future goals with a growth mindset.
